Damaged flash on Canon camera

Hi,

I have recently made a cruise in Egypt and during the last days my
Canon Powershot 95 camera was damaged (I think it's because of X rays
during a control upon entering one of the Egyptian temples): the flash
fires, but the image is dark. I suppose it is fired just before or
after the lens open. Also, sometimes the position sensor (normal or
turned left, right or 180°) is not working: I turn the camera, but it
does not change.

The flash is very important to a camera. What can I do? I have
searched on Internet, I have only found a page with updating the
firmware.
