ATI Mobility Radeon et direct rendering...

Bonjour,
Pour m'amuser un peu, j'aurais bien voulu tester ceci (bureau en 3D) :

Pour mettre toutes les chances de mon côté, je me suis dit que j'=
allais
installer les drivers ATI (j'ai une Mobility Radeon X600) plutôt que l=

drivers fournis de base.
A titre d'info, j'ai vérifié que le direct rendering était b=
ien
opérationnel avec l'installation et c'était le cas.
Bon, je télécharge les drivers à partir du site d'ATI, je le=
s installe
et je redémarre. Tout marche bien sauf que, maintenant, je n'ai plus d=
e
direct rendering :-(

Or, dans la section "Module" de mon xorg.conf, j'ai bien Load "dri" !!!
Sauriez-vous d'où peut venir mon problème ?

qu'entends tu par "tout marche bien" ? le module fglrx est créé ? tu peux le
charger avec modprobe ? est il chargé qd tu es ss ton environement
graphique ? ou alors est ce le module "radeon" ? qu'y a t il ds
ton /var/log/Xorg.log ?
en fait je viens de me rendre compte que c'est normal que ça ne marche po :
t'as po mis fglrx à la place d'ati...voilà ça devrait marche après un
rédémarage...
euh voilà...c'est tout ce qui me passe par la tête. Moi j'ai arreté
d'utiliser le module fglrx. J'ai une radeon mmobility 9600 et j'ai le DRI
et compiz ss debian sid. ça tourne plutot po mal. ya juste une option à
passer ds le xorg.conf...ms je ne l'ai po ss la main.

Si je comprends bien (mais ce n'est pas sûr du tout ;-))), c'est
l'inverse que j'obtiens, non ? J'ai chargé un module de trop ?
Bon, ben si je n'arrive pas avec ça, je repasse en 'ati' !!!

t'as changé le "driver ati" en "driver fglrx" ?
qu'as tu ds le Xorg.log ?
fais un lsmod et voit si fglrx est chargé...tiens je viens de penser que
peut être ton noyau charge automatoiquement le module radeon au démarrage
ou je ne sais quel module correspondant à ta carte...par conséquent tu dois
l'empécher de se charger et charger fglrx à la place (sinon ce sernier ne
se chargera po)
dc tu blacklistes ton module (radeon ou je ne sais koi) et tu mets
ds /etc/module fglrx. et tu changes ton xorg.conf avec driver fglrx.
puis si ça marche tjs po tu copies/colles les logs qu'on y voit plus clair.

comme les pilotes Ati sont bien fait on ne peut pas avoir l'option
composite active en même temps que le direct rendering
donc soit on met une section extension avec composite false soit on
s'assied sur le dri
aiglx fonctionne avec le pilote radeon
xgl fonctionne avec le pilote fglrx
j'ai la meme carte graphique et beryl (successeur de compiz) rame
lamentablement sous debian (alors qu'avec ubuntu ca marche parfaitement)
toujours pas compris pourquoi
