Bonsoir,
donc pour que tout fonctionne,

j'ai reinstalle proprement:
cupsys, hplip, printconf

et desinstalle:
cupsys-driver-gimprint, cupsys-driver-gutenprint

et comme j'avais deja mis (d'ou peut-etre un conflit),
gutenprint 5.0.1-1lsb3 (recupere ici
http://linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnumÊnon-PIXMA_iP4300)

et ensuite procedure classique:
http://localhost:631/admin
add a printer et
recuperation du fichier .ppd correspondant
a l'imprimante dans: /opt/gutenprint/ppds/Canon/
(en ayant pris soin de le decompresser de
Canon-PIXMA_iP4300-gutenprint.5.0-en.ppd.gz)
et voilou:
-page de test: ok
-fichier pdf avec photo: ok
-essai avec gimp: ok

il me reste a trouver comment avoir les niveaux d'encre...et le type de
papier... et modifier la resolution qui est bloquee a 600x600 dpi...

desole pour le bruit...mais
cela peut etre utile a ceux qui ont ce genre de souci....
