etch - radeon 9600 - figeage machine avec fglrxinfo

ayant récemment réussi à utiliser mergefb avec pilote radeon (bureau=
étendu
avec résolution différente sur 2 écrans)

me suis dit que j'allais me détendre un peu avec flight gear ou billardgl=
.
bahj non, pour ces 2 jeux, dès le lancement ma machine se fige
(ctrl+alt+Syst+b totalement inactif)

du coup j'ai voulu faire un fglrxinfo et la pareil figeage machine (aucun
message n'apparait dans syslog)

Une idée de ce qui peux poser problème ?

doit être fourni avec le driver proprio...tu voulais dire glxinfo ?

Ton xorg a l'air normal enfin le peu qu'on en voit.
Regarde si tu as le pageflipping d'activer ou d'autres options
d'activées différentes de celles par défaut.

remarque si t'es en SID comme moi, en ce moment le driver libre radeon
est une vrai plaie...mais bon comme tu as le mergedfb d'activer je
suppose que tu es en stable (ah pu de mergedfb maintenant...c'est du
xrandr!!!)

euh oui, entre 2 reboot forcé, j'ai un perdu oublié la syntaxe exacte. par
contre fgl_glxgears fglrxinfo fglrx_xgamma sont présents sur mon dis que
(avant mergedfb j'ai essayé fglrx-driver)

Ton xorg a l'air normal enfin le peu qu'on en voit.
Regarde si tu as le pageflipping d'activer ou d'autres options
d'activées différentes de celles par défaut.



bon je poste mon xorg.0.log, mais le page flipping est bien activé :

tu peux peut être essayer de virer le plus possible de modules. Je ne
sais pas si c'est valable pour la version xorg de etch mais en ce moment
xorg charge les modules dont il a besoin automatiquement. plus besoin de
les charger dans les xorg.conf.



remarque si t'es en SID comme moi, en ce moment le driver libre radeon
est une vrai plaie...mais bon comme tu as le mergedfb d'activer je
suppose que tu es en stable (ah pu de mergedfb maintenant...c'est du
xrandr!!!)

oui mais c'est l'ancienne version je pense. en Sid c'est la version 1.2
et je peux te dire qu'il y a un gros saut entre les 2 (un vrai bonheur...)

Sinon essaye d'enlever ttes les options que tu peux dans ta section
correspondant au driver radeon. compare petit à petit les xorg.log .

en désactivant le page flipping ?
en désactivant mergedfb (si j'ai bien compris il ne te sert pas pour les
jeux)? le problème peut venir de merged fb car la plage graphique
accélérée est limitée en taille. Donc si tu as 2 écrans dont la somme
des résolutions est supérieure à ce max et ben t'as un bout qui n'est po
accéléré. enfin si je me souviens bien...je dis peut être des bêtises...

Sinon tu peux poster sur la liste du driver libre ati. ils te
renseigneront ss doute plus en détail.

Et il n’y a pas d’interférence entre les deux ?

En clair : vraiment virer tout fglrx (et réinstaller
radeon/xorg si ce n’était pas le fglrx Debian).

J'ai pas noté le message sur la console de Sh3d mais c'est du style : glx 1.2
détecté, mais certain pilote ati renvois 1.2 alors qu'ils sont bien 1.3 ,
lancement de sh3d avec routine d'accélération 3d reduites

j'ai ce message avec/sans mergefb, en mergefb figeage 2-3 secondes (athlon
1600+) après ce message

j'ai découvert que sweethome3d utilise
/usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1
qui pointé sur /usr/lib/libGLcore.so.169.09 (j'avais une nvidia avant)

libGLcore.so.1 semble être un paquet nvidia-glx(-legacy) la question que je me
pose est pourquoi opengl semble ne pas exister pour ati (radeon) ?

en voula aller plus loin j'ai renomé /usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1
en /usr/lib/libGLcore.so.1.commentgbu, pour essayer de voir s'il y avait
d'autres appli qui l'utilisent et ... toutes les applications qui déconna ient
depuis un ptit moment l'utilise (mplayer, vlc, flightgear, billard-gl,
sweethome3d, ...)

j'ai reinstallé nvidia-glx ... pour voir, j'aurais ptet pas dûe ...
maintenant j'ai du segmentation fault à tous va sur ces fameuses appli, m ême
en desinstallant ce paquet (nvidia-glx)

par ailleurs à quoi sert /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libGLcore.so
(modinfo ne renvois rien ) qui fait partie de xserver-xorg-core

pour info :
# grep -i libgl /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so
(II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libGLcore.so
