installation driver propriétaire nvidia 8600 GTS

Bonjour,
Sur une Debian testing amd64, je tente d'installer le driver nvidia
(NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-169.12-pkg2.run) sans succès. Voilà ce qui se passe:
L'installation se passe parfaitement, je suis bien les instructions, et
à la fin, j'ai un message comme quoi tout s'est bien passé. Au reboot,
le driver se charge, l'écran Nvidia s'affiche et le système démarre
normalement. L'affichage des polices est lamentable, comme si les
caractères n'étaient pas déssinés complètement, inutilisable.
J'ai véfifié dans /etc/X11.xorg.conf, il n'y a pas de section "modules"
et le driver chargé est bien "nvidia" au lieu de"nv".
J'ai essayé d'ajouter cette section en mettant:

Comme j'avais fait une sauvegarde de mon ancien xorg.conf, je suis
revenu au driver nv et je tourne comme ça depuis plus d'un mois...
Quelqu'un a-t-il déja installé ce driver ? J'ai bien cherché, mais je
n'ai rien trouvé qui puisse me sortir de là. Merci, et excusez moi
d'avoir été si long.

Ainsi que la log de xorg et un lsmod (il faut aussi que le module soit
chargé...).

Debian ne propose pas un paquet pour le driver propriétaire Nvidia?

je pense que les lignes que tu as rajouté dans ton xorg.conf ne
servent à rien, de plus elles peuvent être néfaste.
as-tu essayé
# dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

sinon tu peux essayer d'installer le driver compilé par
debian. malheureusement, il n'est pas disponible sur lenny, il te
faudra mettre le dépôt de sid dans ton sources.list. j'ai réalisé
cette opération hier et cela fonctionne bien
tu peux voir cette page, c'est en anglais, un peu compliqué mais c'est
suffisamment détaillé pour que tu y arrives:
