Ne peux pas installer Explorer 7

Après réparation de XP SP2, j'ai pu réinstaller les mises à jour de XP, mais
il subsiste une erreur de validation de windows, et je n'arrive pas à
installer Explorer 7.
J'ai essayé ce qui est indiqué dans http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917925 y
compris la modification de quelques clés de registre et j'arrive au log
suivant :

Normal, comme tu as fais une réparation, il faut que tu désinstalles IE7
dans "Ajout/Suppression de programmes" du Panneau de configuration.
Redémarrer la machine et Ré-Installer IE7 correctement c'est tout.

Il fallait désinstaller IE7 avant de réparer vu que le CD de XP utilisé
pour faire la réparation ne contient pas IE7.
