sql server Error: 17883, Severity: 1, State: 0 and Error Msg: Unknown Hard error

Hi everyone,
I have installed on a DELL SC420 server running Win2000 and MS SQL Server
2000 SP3.
I am running a statistic process on the sql svr. So i have SQL job running
and several queries to retreive data and transfer...
First, i have this error and i reformatted my disk and even replace the two
raided1 hard disks.
After reinstalling the operating system, i still have the same error
sql server Error: 17883, Severity: 1, State: 0
and the error message : Unknown Hard Error
After checking that on google, i found some error reported that it is SQL
Server causes.
Did you already have the message ? How to fix that ?

Cette erreur survient lorsqu'une tâche en cours d'exécution n'a pas répondu au bout de 30 secondes ou plus. Le message "Unknown Hard Error" est-il dans l'errorlog ? An attachant l'errorlog on peut peut-êter voir à quoi cela correspond. Cette erreur arrive lors de l'update statistics
