La dernière console portable de Sony, la PS Vita, profite d'une nouvelle mise à jour de son firmware en 1.80, ajoutant des améliorations d'ergonomie de l'interface : l'usage de la croix directionnelle dans les menus, le changement d'emplacement du champ de recherche, l'utilisation de la surface tactile au dos de la console pour naviguer sur les pages Internet, de nouvelles fonctions pour le lecteur vidéo et pour l'application Maps, ou encore une amélioration du cross-controller.
Plus important, cette mise à jour permet enfin de jouer à des jeux PSOne sur PS Vita. Il peuvent donc désormais être téléchargés depuis le PlayStation Store et seront stockés au même endroit que les jeux PSP et miniS.
