Sorti fin novembre 2012, Baldur's Gate : Enhanced Edition vantait l'amélioration généralisée du célèbre jeu de rôle de la fin des années 90, connu et apprécié pour son immersion dans l'univers de Donjons & Dragons, ainsi que son gameplay très efficace.

Alors que le titre de Bioware a profité de nombreux mods destinés à améliorer sensiblement le jeu, le studio Beamdog a décidé de concevoir sa propre version enrichie avec une Enhanced Edition finalement assez peu convaincante aux yeux des fans, et dynamitée par de nombreuses tares techniques.

Baldur Gate Enhanced Edition - 1 Pour les possesseurs de la version Steam du jeu disponible depuis quelques jours, sachez que l'éditeur Atari vient de mettre en place une mise à jour qui s'intéresse à la correction des très nombreux bugs présents dans le jeu.

Des améliorations sont également apportées au niveau de l'interface utilisateur, tout en apportant une meilleure stabilité en multijoueurs, dans l'extension Black Pits, ainsi que dans la manipulation des fichiers relatifs aux portraits. Par le passé, ces points du jeu pouvaient occasionner des plantages.
