Où est cette information ?

Les flux additionnels (Alternative Data Streams / ADS) sont une fonctionnalité peu connue qui n'existe qu'avec les partitions NTFS. A tout fichier d'une NTFS on peut associer des données additionnelles, de n'importe quel type (p.ex. un résumé, commentaires, vignette, ...), mais qui sont totalement INVISIBLES avec les moyens du bord habituels (affichage dans l'explorateur, commande "dir ..;" ,..)
J'ai d'ailleurs consacré un chapitre entier aux "FLUX" des NTFS : http://www.bellamyjc.org/fr/stream.html
Et quand on copie un fichier contenant un ou plusieurs ADS vers une partition qui ne supporte pas ce mécanisme (partitions FAT ou CDROM p.ex., ou encore vers une ressource réseau), un message d'avertissement signale que ces données ne pourront pas être recopiées, et donc perdues. cf.: http://www.bellamyjc.org/gif/streams/transfert.jpg (dans http://www.bellamyjc.org/fr/stream.html#accès)
