Je n'arrive pas à demarrer le serveur X

Est-ce que quelqu'un a la solution à ce probléme.

Je n'arrive pas à demarrer le serveur X

Est-ce que quelqu'un a la solution à ce probléme.


Configuration de XFree86 (ajouter au PATH /usr/X11R6/bin si non présent)
j'utilise les chemins par défaut si non modifiés lors de la compilation
1) en runlevel 3 lancer XFree86 -configure <Ctrl><Alt><BackSpace>
2) ajuster le fichier XF86Config.new créé dans le home directory courant
(souris - FontPath si serveur de fontes compilé - lancé avant X dans ce cas)
3) retester ce fichier avec
XFree86 - xf86config /home/directory/XF86Config.new
4) copier XFConfig.new en /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/XF86Config si OK
(créer les répertoires intermédiaires au besoin)
5) startx
6) dans une xterm lancer xf86cfg
(utilitaire de configuration graphique => à vos souris .... )
enregistrer et quitter X
7) éditer le fichier /usr/X11R6/etc/X11/XF86Config
dans la section screen renseigner
DefaultDepht XX choisir la valeur appropriée
dans la sous section
SubSection "Display"
Depht=XX la précédente profondeur par défaut
rajouter
MODES "" le ModeLine précédemment sélectionné
EndSubSection (dans l'utilitaire de configuration
graphique)
8) au besoin consulter les logs de X
