La liste des nominés aux Game Developers Choice Awards a été communiquée. C'est God of War et Shadow of the Colossus qui s'extraient du lot.
L'hiver est la saison des remises de prix. Dans les jeux vidéo aussi puisqu'après les Oscars décernés par l'Academy of Interactive Art and Science ( AIAS ), ce sont ceux décernés par les développeurs eux-mêmes qui feront l'objet d'une soirée spéciale le 22 mars.
Deux jeux sortent nettement du lot avec respectivement cinq et six nominations : Shadow of the Colossus et surtout God of War, déjà immense vainqueur des Oscars de l'AIAS.
D'autres titres pourraient tirer leur épingle du jeu comme Guitar Hero ou Psychonauts. La vraie déception de cette liste concerne Resident Evil 4. Le jeu n'avait tout simplement pas figuré sur la liste des nominations présentée par l'AIAS suivant la décision de Capcom. Ici en lice, il ne participera à la compétition que dans une seule catégorie.
Cédons enfin au chauvinisme le temps de saluer la nomination de David Cage et son Fahrenheit, dans la catégorie Ecriture.
