Sorry for posting in English but my French isn't sufficient enough to
express my thoughts.
This week I've read that the French government displays color (not
colorized) photos from World War I on the Internet. Dispite intensive
googling I didn't find a URL yet. Could anybody help?

question : do you have more precision ? i didn't find anything yet.

Unfortunately not. The article about those color pics in the print issue of "Der Spiegel" just mentions that the French government made "hundreds of photos" accessible on the internet. And that there was a TV-documentary on Britain's Channel 4, an exhibition in Australia and a book by british historian Hew Strachan (http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/0743239598/qid70253596/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_11_1/028-2099465-4803726). There's nothing about this on the Spiegel's homepage. I will post this on a UK/US-newsgroup, perhaps this will bring something.
