Cela fait à peu près huit mois que le très convoité Castlevania : Symphony of the Night est annoncé sur le Xbox Live Arcarde. Le titre de Konami aura la particularité de dépasser la limite des 50Mo initialement imposée par Microsoft au lancement du service.

Seul contre le mal absolu
S'il y avait un seul et unique épisode à retenir de la longue série des Castlevania (Akumajô Dracula), c'est bien Symphony of the Night ! Le titre faisait habilement honneur à la PlayStation en 1997, puis revu et corrigé pour la Sega Saturn l'année suivante (uniquement au Japon).

L'opus vous permet d'incarner le très charismatique Alucard, fils de Dracula et de Lisa, une humaine. Cette dernière, brûlée vive pour hérésie, compta sur sa progéniture pour stopper la folie du seigneur des ombres.

Pour la peine, le titre verra sa réalisation graphiquement légèrement revue à la hausse, avec notamment le mode écran large. Castlevania : Symphony of the Night sera disponible au téléchargement mercredi prochain, à savoir le 21 mars, au prix de 800 Points Microsoft (9,30€). Etant donné que le prix du titre PSone en version PAL atteint des sommets à la revente, l'alternative de Microsoft est une bonne aubaine !
