Both parties to collaborate closely against cybersecurity threats

Mons, 17 October, 2018 - Atos, a global leader in digital transformation and the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) Communications and Information Agency today sign an industry agreement to commit to a rigorous and continuous exchange of information concerning cybersecurity and potentially relevant cyberthreats. This will improve both parties' capacity to detect, prevent and respond to cyber threats rapidly. The NATO Communications and Information Agency is in charge of operating and protecting the organization's networks. Now, Atos is among industry partners that have established a cybersecurity agreement of this kind with NATO.

"We are reinforcing cyber security partnerships across the board to enhance our support to NATO's consultation and collective defense missions. Only by working together, can we respond to the myriad of digital threats we face" says Mr Kevin J. Scheid, General Manager of the NATO Communications and Information Agency.

"We are thrilled to share our knowledge with the NATO Communications and Information Agency. This partnership will enable both organizations to reinforce their capabilities in the exchange of information on security and threats. NATO will benefit from the expertise of a global cybersecurity leader, also specialized in defense and public markets" says Stéphane Janichewski, Head of Defence & Aerospace Market at Atos.

The documents are signed at a ceremony at NIAS, NATO's annual cybersecurity symposium, which takes places in Mons, Belgium, from 16 to 18 October, featuring several keynotes, workshops and other activities.
