I own a AKAI GX-W cassette deck. I had to replace the front panel. Therefore
I had to demount the cover where the cassette is loaded. Its construction
makes use of a spring to open the cassette tray. Finally I have detached the
tray and the spring jumped out. Now I have some individual parts and don't
know how to build it together again. I don't even know where the spring for
the opening mechanism was located. Any help is appreciated. I don't know if
this information is contained in the so-called service manuals but maybe
it's worth a try. Does anybody know where I can get a service manual for the
GX-W45?

What you need is the exploded parts diagram which is usually included in the service manual. You might call up local repair shops in your area if you can't locate on the web.
I'm not dissing you in any way, but this is a good example for anyone who disassembles anything. Always note carefully how each part you remove is installed. If there are a lot of different pieces it is well worth the time to write down notes.
I have done the same thing. This is how I learned also. One of the common things I have done is to remove all the screws from a case, only to notice later that 2 of them are different, and must be replaced properly. I have seen items damaged because too long of a screw was put into the wrong place.
