COLLEGE HILL – A 22-year-old man was shot during a botched robbery Monday, then fled to a nearby church.
The victim, who was not identified, was stopped at gunpoint by two African-American males at about 4:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Llanfair Avenue near Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati police Sgt. Donald Brown said.
A struggle broke out and the victim was shot in the right shoulder, Brown said.
Police were called after the victim fled to College Hill Presbyterian Church, 5742 Hamilton Ave.
He was transported to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspects are both described as age 18-20 and 6-feet 1-inch tall. One wore a black hooded sweat shirt; the other wore a red hooded sweat shirt.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers, 513-352-3040.
