several problems in one.
I'm using a Sarge/testing system.
(1)
When I boot, near the very beginning
of the log message that splash on the
screen, someting fails, but I'm
not able to find any trace of it in
the /var/log messages-boot-error ...
(2)
To use my HP-laser printer, once I'm
logged I am to run the commands (as root)
---------------------------------------------------
mount -t usbdevfs none /proc/bus/usb
modprobe printer
cat /usr/share/foo2zjs/firmware/sihp1018.dl > /dev/usb/lp0
---------------------------------------------------
(I'm using cups if it is relevant). And if someone has
the same problem, I add for a subsequent search
HP laserjet 1018
But /etc/fstab has the line (added by meself) :
--------------------------------------------------------
none /proc/bus/usb usbdevfs defaults 0 0
--------------------------------------------------------
So if anyone coudl help me clean up this
configuration, I'd appreciate (I can add a final
init command with the script above, but that
would be kind of ugly. And would make future uptodate
maybe messy).
Best!
Amities,
Olivier
