I want to install one 2003 server and about 20 desktops around this server
in a school
In that school the desktops will be used par professors and students.
Since Windows 2003 server is sold with 5 CALs i have to purchase 15
additionnal Cals in order to reach th number of 20 desktops.
But my question is :
Should i buy 20 USER CALs ou 20 DEVICE CALs ?
I read on Microsoft Web that DEVICE Cals can be used in 1 Device (1 desktop)
by ANY user, so i wonder if i could create as many users as i want in the
Active Directory of the server (1 user per student)

En règle générale, pour ce qui me concerne, je privilégie les licences CAL machines, plutôt qu'utilisateurs. En effet, j'ai 20 machines mais j'ai 40 utilisateurs.
Donc mieux vaut 20 CALs machines que 40 CALS users.
Voilà donc une réponse, si mon " franglais " n'est pas mauvais.
