daemon ntp refuse de démarrer

Bonjour,

j'ai un serveur qui était en Woody avec ntpd qui tournait sans pb dessus.
Je suis passé en testing et depuis, impossible de lancer le daemon :
/etc/init.d/ntp-server me répond :
Starting NTP server: ntpd.

Mais ps aux ne m'indique aucun daemon ntpd qui tourne. Et mon horloge dérive
très rapidement. J'ai beau la remettre à l'heure avec ntpdate (ntpdate
ntp.univ-lyon1.fr) et hwclock (hwclock --systohc --utc) et tenter de relancer
le daemon après, rien n'y fait, il ne veut pas se lancer.

Quant aux logs, tout ce que j'ai c'est dans syslog :

Il a l'air de s'être lancé malgré tes dires non ? C'est juste qu'il ne
te réponds pas c'est ça ? Est-ce qu'il réponds en local ?

Que dit la commande ntpq -p ? Est-ce que le reach a atteind 377 pour au
moins une des entrées ?

ntpq -p me dit :
ntpq: read: Connection refused

Et je n'ai rien de ntpd dans la liste des processus en cours.

Je pensais un moment à un pb de firewall, mais je filtre correctement sur le
port 123 en tcp et udp.

Ha. Essayes de le lancer à la main sans passer par le script d'init.
Peut être que tu auras un erreur plus flagrante car dans les logs que tu
as copié/collé il ne semble pas se plaindre.

S'il ne se lances toujours pas tu peux essayer un strace pour voir où ça
cooince...

Merci du conseil ; seulement, je n'ai jamais mis les mains dans strace et
lorsque je fais
strace -f -efile /etc/init.d/ntp-server start (sont-ce les bonnes options ?...)

je récupère un immonde charrabia que j'ai du mal à analyser (y a quand même un

"notrust" dans ton fichier de conf ? Je crois que sa fonction change
entre les deux versions de NTP.

J'ai un truc notrust mais qui ne s'applique qu'au réseau local, et il est
commenté. Mon fichier ntp.conf :
