I have a practical question.
I have installed on my Fujitsu laptop Norton antivirus,
version 9.05.15 (ID de compte: 523102163).
My Fujitsu is a B142 LIFEBOOK. Please see the following
link for a brief description of the technical
characteristics (http://www.fujitsu-
siemens.co.uk/rl/servicesupport/techsupport/Lifebook/BSerie
s/B142.htm)
When I touch the screen with the enclosed pen,
I "sometimes" see the arrow cursors on the screen, that is
not correctly responding, i.e. it dashes out on the right
side of the screen without control. Even after performing
a calibration of the touch screen, the mentioned problem
comes back again "at random". Calibration itself is not
alway possible. In this latter case I updated the mouse
drivers as explained in the above link, but the cursor
problem has come back again.
I have also performed the full restoration of the
original pre-installed software including the installation
of the new version of Norton on my hard disk, but after a
short trouble free period, the cursour has started again
to dash out. The laptop has also a "quick point" mouse,
which works fine i.e. without any problem of the screen
cursor.
I do not think I have a faulty touch screen, because the
problem is so capricious.
Somebody told me that this specific problem might be
caused by the antivirus protection
running in the background, where it consumes CPU resources
and memory, so I can expect some anomalies in the
performance.
If this the case what do you suggest I should do?
I am looking forward to your prompt answer.
Thank you
G.M.
