Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to use RIS on W2K to deploy XP Pro
images, and how ? I know it is OK for Win 2000 Pro but I don't know about
XP.

Yes it is possible to deploy Windows XP Images from Windows 2000 RIS
Servers. Take a look at this KB, it shows you how:

However, Microsoft recommends the use of Windows Server 2003 RIS server to
deploy Windows XP clients. Look at this for further details:

http://support.microsoft.com/?idƒ9712

Also, Windows XP Home Edition is not officially supported for deployment
through RIS server. For further information, look at this:

Yes, like for windows 2k Pro, but you need to patch your
*RIS server 2k with a patch giving by microsoft to use
your W2K Adv srv RIS to deploy XP.
