Hi alone well, alex, you are on a french spkg group... anyway, I try to explain you the way to get this drop down list without being sure that my translation of some words is correct 1) you have to type in your sheet in a column of your choice the names you want to include in the drop down list 2) you select the cell where you want your drop down list 3) in the Worksheet Menu Bar (upper part of your sheet) you click Data and then Validation (I hope it is the same name in the english excel) 4) you choose in the Authorize box : List and in the box which appears now Source, you type (or select with the mouse) the range of cells were you have typed your names 5) and as an act of God, you can see now in your cell first selected a little black triangle 6) you click it and new act of God, the drop down list appears and you just have to choose the name you want to put in your cell

Was wondering if somebody could give me some clues on how to insert a drop down list into a cell (if this can be done)
This list will contain the names of a numer of' stocks of which I need to select and display one
