I moved to France in March permanently and I would like to obtain a
french callsign.
I have an italian license and I downloaded the form to obtain a french
callsing but:
1- Since I moved here what I should write on the "period field" ? From:
TODAY TO: FOREVER ?
2- The french ham fee is 46 euros yearly, since now it's July do I still
have to pay the entire yearly fee ?
3- Once obtained a callsign do I have to inform local authorities of my
qth installation (such like electromagnetic control associations...)
4- My italian license is going to end in 2009 but since it's old it's
still 2006 write on it and the italian telecomunication office is going
to send a paper with the new ending date during the 2006 itself !
In this way at the end of 2005 I could just present to the French
authorities an italian license ending in March 2006 !
5- Is possible to obtain a french license/documents in order to avoid to
present the italian license every year for the renew ? It would be
easier !
Thanks in advance,

Yes I moved to France in March for working reasons but I never studied French neither I have the time to do it since I'm busy all days long. Anyway I'm trying to speak/understand french listening to the people around and I'm gettin on it quite well (as you can see I understood u). In any case my post was not regarding the "langue du pays" but hamradio rules in French, probably you can't understand quite well English that is the first language, actually, in use.
Best regards and thanks for the professional OM's answer, Fabio Roccatagliata F/IZ1EGT
