hope somebody can help me.
I have installed W2k SP4, and IIS 5.0.
I cannot open ASP pages (localhost) although it was
possible before (I developped a nice web application and I
hope I don't have to do it again with Apache and PHP).
I have changed nothing to the configuration apart from a
reboot.
I am getting the HTTP 500 Error. (I never get more than
this, even with 'unfriendly' error messages, because I've
got a french version of w2k).
I am logged on as Admnistrator, I have reinstalled IIS and
cannot even open localstart.asp.
I followed the solutions given in article 311766.
(Change the anonymous access, my first ASP page does not
even contain VBScript code yet).
The event log gives me no more info than the error code...
I've got the access rights to all (Server, default site...)
I can of course open HTML and even PHP pages...
I thought ASP as Microsoft technology would work with IIS,
but obviously I was mistaken.
