What is the better choice of image format from Photoshop to XPress ?
(Color photo scanned)

I suppose Jpeg is not a good choice (because of compression quality,
lossly).

I suppose choice between PNG, TIF, BMP is only choice between speed and disk
space, but result will be the same (PNG probably smaller file)

There is also the EPS option (only good for Postscript printer, I assume).

Any advice?

What use do you want to make of the XPress File?

Because if it to be printed (offset), your Photoshop files should be in
EPS.

If to be printed on an inkjet printer (low rez), JPEG should be fine.

If to be printed on an inkjet printer (high rez), PNG is the best.
