Je n'ai jamais eu encore d'imprimante partagée en réseau,
mais compte tenu de difficultés récurrentes rencontrées pour
pouvoir imprimer avec des applications Mac OS 9 en mode
Classic par l'USB, est-ce que ce ne serait pas une bonne solution,
à supposer bien sûr que si ça marche sous Mac OS X ça marche
aussi automatiquement avec Classic, ce que j'ignore...?
Tiens ? je retrouve des fichiers *.ppd semblant créés avec le gestionnaire d'impression pour ma Stylus 1520 + Ethernet, à la fois dans : - Dossier Système/Extensions/Description d'imprimantes/
Pour Mac OS 8-9
et - /private/cups/ppd/
Possible mais c'est une localisation très "Epson".
Le pilotage CUPS utilise un architecture calquée sur le pilotage Postscript.

Pour Mac OS X 10.3.X c'était: "/Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources" et "/usr/share/cups/model/C" et "/usr/share/cups/model"
