je viens de lancer l'installation d'ios5 sur mon iphone 3G, tout se
passait bien et moment de la restaure de mon environnement perso, il me
demande un mot de passe.
Je ne me souviens pas d'avoir jamais mis de mot de passe d'autant que je
les notes systématiquement.
et pire encore la sauvegarde date de ce jour avant l'installation, et je
n'ai pas mis de mot de passe.

À l'origine,EOT c'était "End Of Tape", un sticker réfléchissant qui signalait au dérouleur de bandes ou au streamer, via un phototransistor, que c'était la fin du support. Y'avait aussi le BOT, pour le début de bande. Fallait pas trop raccourcir l'amorce (souvent mâchée par un p'tit jeune en manque) sinon parfois ça ne marchait plus, le BOT étant trop près de l'extrémité. Excellent, merci pour l'étymologie :) Après ton post j'ai regardé sur le net et suis tombé sur un article de Wikipédia dont je cite la partie concernant l'EOT :
"In the ANSI X3.27-1969 magnetic tape standard, the end of file was indicated by a tape mark, which consisted of a gap of approximately 3.5 inches of tape followed by a single byte containing the character 13 (hex) for nine-track tapes and 17 (octal) for seven-track tapes. The end-of-tape, commonly abbreviated as EOT, was indicated by two tape marks. This was the standard used, for example, on IBM 360. Purée, ça me rappelle quand j'étais obligé de taper deux fois WTMA (de mémoire) sur la console système d'un SPS 16/65 pour faire une fin de bande propre :)
