I recently purchased a Windows XP Home Edition upgrade
from a UK based e-tailer, and trying to install it
recently, I had a few problems. Two error messages came up:
1 – “The language of this installation of Windows [French]
differs from the one you are installing [English]. The
option to upgrade will not be available.”
2 – “Set-up cannot continue because upgrade functionality
is disabled and your copy of Windows XP only allows
upgrades.”

Vous devriez pouvoir démarrer l'installation de Windows XP (la mise à jour ne sera pas possible de la part les différences de langues) depuis le CD Rom, lorsqu'un produit qualifiant sera demandé : fournissez le CD Rom de Windows 98.
