Hello everyone,,
This is my first post on Reddit and such so sorry if my spelling is bad, I'm not that good at it and its my first time on Reddit so I'm kinda nervous writing this, I hope I'm in the right place.

So I found this old laptop of mine and I kinda wanted to put some use out of it, maybe put some emulators on it, run some dos’ n stuff etc, well it was having some problems with some programs and such and so I decided to upgrade it from windows XP service pack 1 to 3, I went online and made a boot-able USB that had service pack 3 on it, stuck it and started installing, when it got to the part to like either replace the existing windows files or delete the files and start from scratch, I chose start from scratch, that was a mistake because of course deleted the recovery files for windows, and then when it was going to restart and go into the command prompt like screen and install windows, it couldn't because the laptop was one of those laptops that had a USB but no options to boot anything from start to the USB because it originally ran windows 98, well it kept trying to look for the installation files from the CD drive and wouldn't read the USB, so now I'm stuck, and here comes the question is, if I can connect my hard drive to my regular windows 10 PC, Like use an adapter to USB on my new PC so its like a USB drive, is there any way I can like format that and install an ISO of windows XP on that hard drive and plop it back in and install? Like something like that, any way? Cause I at least want to put some use to this old PC just need to install windows on it from my windows 10, anybody tell me if there is something like that i can do or if that's possible? If anyone can tell me or help me I would really appreciate that.
