Bonjour la liste,

j'ai fait l'acquisition d'un appareil photo num=E9rique et je voudrais
bien pouvoir lire ma carte sd avec mon lecteur de carte int=E9gr=E9e 4 en
1 de mon portable. Je suis sous sid.

un lspci -v me donne:

J'ai un noyau 2.6.14.2 recompil=E9 par mes soins (et l=E0 est le pb...).
Lors de l'insertion de la carte il ne se passe rien...(le lecteur
marche ss window$).

J'ai commenc=E9 =E0 fureter sur google, sur linux-laptop ms rien de
significatif: soit le mat=E9riel n'a pa =E9t=E9 test=E9, soit =E7a marche
directement.

Je d=E9sirerai savoir quels modules se chargent sur vos pc lors de
l'insertion de la carte?

Je me demandais aussi si le package pcmcia-cs est tjs n=E9cessaire?

lors de l'insertion du lecteur: usb_storage

Par contre je dois passer en paramètres au noyau: max_scsi_luns=4 sinon
il ne voit que la fente compact flash
car l'option:

#CONFIG_SCSI_MULTI_LUN is not set dans la config de mon noyau

cf: cat /boot/config-2.6.12 | grep LUN


ps: lspci ne t'es pas d'une grande utilité dans le cas de périphériques
USB (sauf pour lister ton/tes controlleur(s)).
regardes plutôt la sortie de dmesg lors du branchement de ton appareil

dans mon sysctl.conf! bon c'est pas gagné! pourrais tu me dire, Jody,
quel chemin exact as tu utilisé pour rendre ce paramètre
opérationnel par sysctl.

Je ne suis pas certain que ce paramètre soit nécessaire :

J'ai un lecteur interne multiformat. Il a 4 slots et il se crée docn 4
devices avant insertion des cartes (les drives, si on veut).
J'ai 2 disques SATA qui sont vus comme des périphériques scsi
J'ai un disue ide sur un port promise qui est aussi vu comme un
périphérique scsi.


Au démarrage du système, sans paramètre particulier, tous les devices
sont créés normalement :

Ceux dont le group est disk sont ... les disques et ceux dont le groupe
est hal sont les fentes du lecteur de cartes.

Si j'insère une carte, il se crée les /dev/sdd1 (par exemple) en
fonction de la fente utilisée.

L'insertion d'une clé usb crée un nouveau device du même type à la
volée :

Les paramètres passés au noyau sont de plsu en plus rares. Autrefois,
il fallait même passer un paramètre lorsqu'on avait plus d'une carte
ethernet...

Sonc, à mon sens, vous n'avez pas besoin de passer de paramètre au
noyau. Mai, excusez-moi, je n'ai pas suivi tout le fil de discussion.
Je vais faire quelques recherches dans les archives voir si je peux
vous aider.

Je viens de jeter un oeil sur le fil de discussion.
Faire (avec votre user) :
lsusb

et en root

lsusb -v

Je vous avais demandé de faire ça déjà ... :-(

La première commande permettra de voir si votre user voit le lecteur de
cartes
La deuxième donnera des détails concernant les différents périphé riques
USB (long)

Que touvez-vous dans /dev ?
ls -l /dev/sd*

les modules chargés chez moi et qui peuvent avoir une infulence sur
cette parti du système sont :

sd_mod
scsi_mod
usb_storage
ehci_hcd
uhci_hcd

tout d'abord je n'ai plus (pour l'instant) de carte sd ss la main pour
faire le test...mais bon...jevais m'en procurer une demain!

pour les modules sd_mod, scsi_mod, usb_storage, ehci_hcd,uhci_hcd je
les ai tous (enfin je l'ai ai passé en dur...dc ça ne vient pas de
là). par contre comme l'as dit Jody récédemment je ai dans mon
.config :
#CONFIG_SCSI_MULTI_LUN is not set

Ce we j'avais des cartes sd et ms, aucune n'était détectée; aucun
device n'était créé dans /dev! j'ai vérifié plus d'une fois. j'ai
évidemment oublié de faire un lsusb...

je suppose qu'il est inutile de faire un lsusb qd la carte n'est pas
inséré, non?
bon au cas où voici un lsusb -v, dsl c'est un peu long...j'ai un
hub...

En fait je le passe en paramètre au noyau dans la configuration de Grub.

Je ne me sers plus vraiment de ce lecteur, toutefois avec un noyau
2.6.12 il ne semble pas voir la carte memory stick (Kaella 2.1 en
live-cd à partir du HD).

J'essaierai en passant ce paramètre pour vérifier sur cette version, mes
derniers essais étant assez anciens.

voilà ce que donne un lsusb en user:

sachant que j'ai 3 port USB derrière mon portable: sur le premier il y
a un hub USB2 4ports, ensuite il y a un clavier et une souris optique
sur les 2 autres ports. Sur le hub je branche mon disque dur externe et
autres disk amovibles.

En plus j'ai dc un lecteur de carte ricoh 4 en 1 (reconnu correctement
par yenta)

Je viens de tester de démarrer en passant ce paramètre et rien à faire,
il ne recherche pas toutes les fentes :(

Désolé pour cette astuce bidon, celle-ci fonctionnait sur noyau 2.4
