Je m'explique, je constate que mon mac mini a le comportement suivant:
je lance une application qui consomme 30% du CPU. au bout d'un certain temps
le load average monte a 0.3 (normal)
j'en lance une autre qui aucupe 25% du CPU. Le load average monte a 1.7.
Ce qui me gene le plus c'est que le ventilo se met a tourner. La machine
devient lente.
Est-ce que mac OS X est connu pour ramer plus qu'il ne le faudrait (un load
average de 0.55 dans le cas precedent serait plus normal) en utilisation
multi-tache?
Et si oui, est-ce qu'une machine bi-proc s'en sortirait mieux
(proportionnelement a sa puissance de calcul)?
(les deux applis sont aMule et mplayer, acces disque moyen de 200ko/s
(disons 10ko/s en ecriture, le reste en lecture), le tout sur un mac mini G4
1.42GHz)

Tout à fait. Mais j'ai tendance à l'oublier ayant un powerbook et un PC avec une ATI Rage 128 Pro qui ne chauffe pas...
