CINCINNATI - A driver is now facing charges after the death of a young
student who was killed standing on the sidewalk last month.
Yolanda Washington, 24, is charged with vehicular homicide and vehicular
manslaughter after her arrest Thursday night. Washington, from Camp
Washington, allegedly killed 8-year-old Devar Ravae Johnson in East Price
Hill September 3.
Cincinnati Police say Washington lost control of her 2003 Chevy Malibu as
it was travelling southbound on Grand Ave., when it went of the road and
hit Johnson.
Johnson was a student at Rees E. Price Academy and had just left school
minutes before.
