I got a bad 'Disk check', killing my antivirus. About in the same time, I
am getting random 'Path error' in VB6 (own application) and
'file cannot be copied' in Paint Shop Pro
Both errors can be recovered if retried.
There does not seem to be any problems with Explorer when copying files,
and the path given are fully valid (and work on retry).
I must have a corrupt file in the system, but what ?
Any idea for help (excluding the all too bad 'Restore your whole system!!)

D'ailleurs, en d'autres termes, la question est : Quel est le .exe, ocx ou dll qui gére les accès de répertoire quand ce n'est pas 'Explorer.exe' qui commande ?
Après un souci de disque, j'ai perdu mon antivirus. A peu près en même temps, je constate des erreurs temporaires dans un programme VB6 de mon cru (qui fonctionne depuis deux ans!), avec le message 'Invalid Path'. Si la même commande est répétée, la copie se fait correctement.
De même Paint Shop pro est parfois incapable de réécrire une image, mais ça marche au second essai.
Xnews refuse aussi parfois de réécrire son .ini la première fois...
Par contre, aucun problème apparent avec 'Explorer.exe', toutes les copies se font sans erreurs.
A part 'Re-installer XP' quelqu'un a-t'il une idée sur le module qui peut être corrompu ?
