PB WITH FORWARDERS

Hello,

I just upgraded my domain controllers from NT4 to W2K.
All is working fine but I have a problem with the DNS.
I receive the following event within the event viewer : the dns server
encountered an invalid domain name in a packet from ********** the packet is
rejected.
If I disable the forwarders, all is working fine and when I enable the
forwarders I have the pb.
When forwarders are enable the applications are very slow and when it's
disable the applications work fine.
With NT4 in both cases the application work fine.
I install a patch from Microsoft but it didn't resolve anything

Any idea ? Thanks for your replies.

Xavier.

First off you'll get more replies on a French Newsgroup if you ask the

question in French
Tout d'abord t'auras plus de réponses sur un groupe français si tu pose tes
questions en Français.

I suspect it's the old problem with Win2K DNS that installs the root (.) as
default - your server thinks that it is at the top of the tree.
Je soupçonne que c'est le viex problème où le DNS de Win2K est installé avec
la racine (.) par défaut - ton serveur crois qu'il est en haut de
l'arborescence.

Try deleting the root.
Essayer d'effacer la racine.
