Photos moins belles sous linux

et je comprend pas pourquoi ! je suis en 24 bits et pourtant mes photos sous
linux (mandrake 10 kde3.2) paraissent moins belles, en fait elle paraissent
plus "bruité" et cela dans tout les logiciels, meme Gimp.
Quelqu'un aurait une explication ?

Peux tu poster le résultat de la commande xvinfo ici?
(sous debian, elle est dans /usr/X11R6/bin/, donc pas dans le path par
défaut, il faut donc aller la chercher en chemin absolu)
