J'avais un PC (PC1) avec une carte Wifi Trendnet TEW-423PI connecté a
ma Freebox.
J'avais un second PC (PC2) lui aussi connecté a ma Freebox en Wifi par
un adaptateur USB.
Jusque la tout ce passait bien...
J'ai voulu installer dans le PC une seconde carte TEW-423PI pour
remplacer l'adapatateur USB peu pratique.
Et la catastrophe ! ! Je n'arrive plus a me connecter a ma Freebox ni
avec le PC1 ni avec le PC2 en utilisant les cartes. Par contre, si
j'utilise mon adapatareur USB cela fonctionne.
Soit je ne detecte pas le réseau soit je le detecte mais j'arrive pas
a m'y connecter (avant meme la demande de clé WEP) alors que le
réseaux est bien la puisque avec la clé USB je m'y connecte sans
soucis.
Lorsque je detecte le réseau avec l'utilitaire fourni avec la carte il
le detecte sur la canal 168 ! ! Alors qu'il est sur le canal 10 et
qu'avec la clé USB je le detecte bien sur ce cannal.
Avez vous des idées sur ce qui a pu se produire ? Une idée sur comment
réparer ? Une idée sur comment réinitialiser completement ces cartes
(j'ai l'impression qu'il y a une config bas niveau qui plante mais
quoi ?)

J"ai un probleme similaire avec 2 PC ayant des cartes PCMCIA TREND TEW-421CB et je galere depuis 2 semaines . Le support de TREND n'arrive pas a m'aiguiller sur une piste. Mes systemes sont en Win XP pro +SP1+SP2 ...
Par contre j'ai un PC avec une TEW-423PI sous Win XP home +SP2 qui marche finement !!!! Je n'y comprends plus rien.
Les adaptateurs TREND semblent avoir une sensibilite curieuse a la connection que ce soit en windows zero config ou avec les utilitaires de TREND. J'utilise les derniers drivers dispo sur le site de TREND ... !!!

Ci dessous la reponse du tech support de TREND, je pense que le probleme reside dans une incompatibilite entre la gestion XP de wireless zero config et l'utilitaire de TREND !!!! je vais tester ... A suivre

Generally this type of issue is caused by wireless interference on the channel you are on or the wireless signal is too weak to make a successful connection. Have you tested this with a direct line of sight to ensure that the issues isn't the distance or obstructions between the two devices?
Are you using the utility that came with the adapter to configure them? If this is the case try stopping the wireless zero configuration service in Windows and restart the computer. You can stop the service by going to Start>Run and type in "services.msc", without the quotes and hit ok. Double-click on the wireless zero configuration service, change the start up type to manual and stop the service. Click apply then ok. Restart the computer and try to connect again.
