probleme d'installation du kernel 2.6.4

J'ai voulu installer le noyau 2.6, mais j'ai eu beaucoup message d'erreur.
j'ai pu installer mon noyau mais je peu pas installer mon driver du modem.
smlink. Je crois que c'est a cause des binutils et modules-init-tools. qui
ne veullent pas c'installer. j'ai dowloader le binutils2.14 et
modules-init-tools 3.0
qui peut m'aider????

votre matériel .
