Am thinking about buying a Pace 2600 digibox through http://www.skycards.net
and a sky subscription
Has anybody tried this in France ?
Can I copy from the pace directly to a DVD recorder as I whish to keep some
of the series on disc
Have already C+ usinfg their pilotime decoder, can I hook the pace to this
so that I can record on the hard disc the sky programs althoghh I think that
this is improbable

No, sorry (BskyB is very specific). To decrypt (even english free channels) you need to have an english address. Here at home, I receive only Astra 2 and Eurobird 1 free channels - FTA - (and of course BBC1 2,3,4, CBEEBIES, CBBC, BBCi, but not ITV1 or 2, C4, Five,TCM....)

Try this link : http://www.pace.co.uk/paceproducts/product.asp?section=SA&product. The answer seems to be yes by using the SCART socket. By this way, the digibox converts digital signal thru analogical signal and your DVD recorder (using the SCART socket) converts the analogical signal thru digital. It's not the perfect way. May be can you use directly the RS232 ? (Indeed, I don't think so....)

I think the pilotime knows only one dish (by default is Astra 1 on 19,2° E - logical !!-), and your Digibox will be on another dish (or LNB) on Astra 2/Eurobird 1 (28°2/28°6 E). So you can't recorded BskysB programm on the pilotimes's hard disk. To record a second channel, with the Pilotime, you need to have a LNB twin on the same satellite.
thanks for any help on this
You're welcome !
