je réponds Í cÍ´té mais d'un autre cÍ´té, justement, je me demande quel est l'intérêt d'utiliser une sortie VGA (analogique) de nos jours (Í moins que tu ne disposes que d'un moniteur du millénaire dernier)?
c'était la norme quand un ordinateur (numérique) devait afficher sur un moniteur (CRT, tube) analogique. De nos jours les écrans sont numériques. La prise VGA sur un ordinateur n'a pour but que de pouvoir utiliser un moniteur ancien dépourvu d'entrée numérique et la prise VGA sur un miniteur numérique n'a pour but que de pouvoir utiliser un ordinateur ancien dépourvu de sortie numérique (HDMI, DVI... qui n'existaient pas Í l'époque)
Sur des matériels contemporains l'utilisation d'un cÍ¢ble VGA implique que dans le PC la sortie VGA est convertie de numérique en analogique puis que dans le moniteur l'entrée est reconvertie en sens inverse d'analogique en numérique. Avec les distorsions et d'informations assorties.
En liaison HDMI ou DVI, le signal reste numérique de bout en bout.

En liaison HDMI ou DVI, le signal reste numérique de bout en bout.

je réponds Í cÍ´té mais d'un autre cÍ´té, justement, je me demande quel est l'intérêt d'utiliser une sortie VGA (analogique) de nos jours (Í moins que tu ne disposes que d'un moniteur du millénaire dernier)?

Quand je regarde (pour baver un peu devant quelque chose qui fait envie) les cartes mères supermicro, le port VGA est encore présent, et de plus c'est le seul port d'affichage fourni. J'en suis étonné, mais ça montre que le VGA résiste encore.
Quand une entreprise se procure un tel matériel, je doute qu'elle économise le prix d'un petit moniteur a entrée numérique, et si le fabricant continue Í mettre une sortie vidéo, c'est surement que la plupart du temps on passe encore par une phase de config sans recourir aux fonctionnalites distantes (accès au BIOS, UEFI par KVM, IPMI, etc)
