Cincinnati Police arrested a teen who went AWOL from a juvenile detention facility elsewhere in Ohio, and who shot and killed a man pushing a baby stroller on Monday.
Police say 20-year-old Kevin Isaac was shot twice while walking a one year old boy in a stroller in the 3200 block of Beekman Street in North Fairmount around 2:15 p.m. Monday. Isaac died at University Hospital a short time later. The little boy was not hurt.
Around 10 p.m., police arrested and charged 17-year-old Ronnell Parks with the murder. Police say Parks was AWOL from NECO Juvenile Placement Center in Pedro, Ohio near Portsmouth. Parks apparently did not return to the center after leaving on a visitor's pass. Police say Parks has mental issues and is on medication to control his behavior.
It's not clear why Isaac was targeted. The little girl's grandmother says Isaac was babysitting the child and was walking to the bus stop, where the child's father was to meet him after returning from his shift at work.
