Pour W98: To install the Windows NT Server Tools on a Windows 95/98 client computer:
1. Insert the Windows NT Server 4.0 compact disc into the computer's CD-ROM
drive. Then, on the desktop, click Start, point to Settings, and then click
Control Panel. In the Control Panel dialog box, double-click Add/Remove
Programs.
2. In the Add/Remove Programs dialog box, click the Windows Setup tab. Click
Have Disk. In the Install From Disk dialog box, click Browse.
3. In the Open dialog box, in the Drives box, select your computer's CD-ROM
drive. In the Folders box, double-click the clients folder, then double-click
the srvtools folder, and finally, double-click the win95 folder. Click OK.
4. In the Install From Disk dialog box, click OK. In the Have Disk dialog box,
select the Windows NT Server Tools check box, and then click Install. The
Windows NT Server Tools are installed and shortcuts are updated. In the
Add/Remove Programs Properties dialog box, click OK. Close Control Panel.
5. On the desktop, click Start, and then click Run. In the Run dialog box, type
notepad c:autoexec.bat and then click OK.
In the Autoexec - Notepad dialog box, after the last line displayed (if you
previously didn't have an autoexec.bat file, there won't be any text
displayed at all), type SET PATH=%PATH%;C:SRVTOOLS and then press enter.
Click the File menu, and then click Save. Close Notepad.
6. Shut down and restart Windows to complete the installation process.
This completes the installation of the Windows NT Server Tools on a Windows 95/98
client computer. The server tools will now be displayed in the Windows NT Server
Tools menu.
Note: To access this menu, on the desktop, click Start, then point to Programs,
and then point to Windows NT Server Tools.
