Configurer une imprimante laser hp sur lenny

Coucou,

Voil=C3=A0 je voudrais installer une imprimante laser hp et qu'il fasse
office de serveur d'impression.
Dans les docs que j'ai vu, je dois installer cupsys.

Mais en regardant sur le site de hp, il y a un hplip =C3=A0 installer.

Dois-je installer les deux ?

je suppose que si le serveur n'a pas d'interface graphique, je ne peux
pas faire :

Décidémment, j'essaie depuis 4 jours, rien à faire. A force, c'est la
confusion et le désespoir. je ne parviens pas à configurer mon
imprimante multifonction.
Même en passant sur ubuntu, j'ai tester, le device net n'est pas
reconnu. hplip, j'ai installé par debian et ubuntu en faisant
aptitude, et quand je fait hp-setup, je dois choisir le device, et je
choisis 1 pour le network. et j'ai l'erreur suivant :
error: No device selected/specified or that supports this functionality.

si je fais : (à la installation précédente, je n'avais pas d 'erreur,
cette fois ci j'en ai) hp-check -r

Alors, pour commencer, il faut lancer lynx pour accéder à l'int erface de
gestion.

Dans une console, lynx http://127.0.0.1:631

La page s'affiche, il faut choisir "Administration"->"Add printer"
Il demande le nom, c'est le nom court de l'imprimante (par ex HP4500) qui
est son identifiant pour la gestion. Les 2 autres lignes c'est juste de
l'information.

Page suivante, choix du "device", donc dans ton cas, socket sur port 9100 .
Il faut choisir "AppSocket/HP JetDirect".

Page suivante, adresse du "device", donc sur socket il faut entrer
socket://192.168.10.10:9100 et on valide.

Page suivante, choix de la marque du fabricant, ici HP.

Page suivante, choix du modèle parmi les pilotes disponibles, il fau t bien
selectionner le bon pilote parmi la liste et c'est la qu'intervient la
couche hplip qui propose ses pilotes.

et voila c'est presque prêt, il ne faut pas oublier de configurer le s
options d'impression par défaut avec "Printers"->"Set printer option s"

tu retrouveras toutes ces informations dans le fichier
/etc/cupsd/printers.conf

A noter que l'interface sera en français si l'environnement est inst allé en
français évidemment.

tu peux utiliser un navigateur graphique si tu as un serveur X sur ta
machine cliente. Je fais ma gestion à distance sur mon poste linux v ia ssh
et firefox.

Alors, pour commencer, il faut lancer lynx pour accéder à l'interface de
gestion.

Dans une console, lynx http://127.0.0.1:631

La page s'affiche, il faut choisir "Administration"->"Add printer"
Il demande le nom, c'est le nom court de l'imprimante (par ex HP4500) qui
est son identifiant pour la gestion. Les 2 autres lignes c'est juste de
l'information.

Page suivante, choix du "device", donc dans ton cas, socket sur port 9100.
Il faut choisir "AppSocket/HP JetDirect".

Page suivante, adresse du "device", donc sur socket il faut entrer
socket://192.168.10.10:9100 et on valide.

Page suivante, choix de la marque du fabricant, ici HP.

Page suivante, choix du modèle parmi les pilotes disponibles, il faut bien
selectionner le bon pilote parmi la liste et c'est la qu'intervient la
couche hplip qui propose ses pilotes.

et voila c'est presque prêt, il ne faut pas oublier de configurer les
options d'impression par défaut avec "Printers"->"Set printer options"

tu retrouveras toutes ces informations dans le fichier
/etc/cupsd/printers.conf

A noter que l'interface sera en français si l'environnement est installé en
français évidemment.

tu peux utiliser un navigateur graphique si tu as un serveur X sur ta
machine cliente. Je fais ma gestion à distance sur mon poste linux via ssh
et firefox.

| grep hplip' ?

Juste un truc :
t as essaye deja de la faire marcher branchee directement sur ton pc (en
USB) ? sans passer par le reseau ? Une fois que ca ca marchera...ben tu
passeras a la suite.

Pour les interfaces graphiques generales en rapport avec les
imprimantes, j en ai utilise 2 :
foomatic-gui
ou
hal-cups-utils

c est assez simple...faut tester et au bout d un moment ca marche.

Bonne chance! les imprimantes et les cartes graphiques sont les trucs
les plus chiants a faire marcher sous linux. et encore avec une HP tu as
de la chance!

Alors, pour commencer, il faut lancer lynx pour accéder à l'interface de
gestion.

Dans une console, lynx http://127.0.0.1:631

La page s'affiche, il faut choisir "Administration"->"Add printer"
Il demande le nom, c'est le nom court de l'imprimante (par ex HP4500) qui
est son identifiant pour la gestion. Les 2 autres lignes c'est juste de
l'information.

Page suivante, choix du "device", donc dans ton cas, socket sur port
9100.
Il faut choisir "AppSocket/HP JetDirect".

Page suivante, adresse du "device", donc sur socket il faut entrer
socket://192.168.10.10:9100 et on valide.

Page suivante, choix de la marque du fabricant, ici HP.

Page suivante, choix du modèle parmi les pilotes disponibles, il faut
bien
selectionner le bon pilote parmi la liste et c'est la qu'intervient la
couche hplip qui propose ses pilotes.

et voila c'est presque prêt, il ne faut pas oublier de configurer les
options d'impression par défaut avec "Printers"->"Set printer options"

tu retrouveras toutes ces informations dans le fichier
/etc/cupsd/printers.conf

A noter que l'interface sera en français si l'environnement est installé
en
français évidemment.

tu peux utiliser un navigateur graphique si tu as un serveur X sur ta
machine cliente. Je fais ma gestion à distance sur mon poste linux via
ssh
et firefox.

Tu peux supprimer les paquets 'cupsys' et 'cupsys-driver-gutenprint' qui
ne sont plus utilisés.

Le reste à l'air bon (a part le fait que ce sont des paquets non-stable)
, est ce que tu as les paquets 'foomatic-db', 'foomatic-db-engine' et/ou
'foomatic-filters' ?

Puisque 'cupsd' tourne, tu dois pouvoir lancer 'lynx

Si tu ne veux pas que ton imprimante soit accessible à partir
d'internet(extérieur) il suffit de fermer les ports au niveau routeur
(port 631(ipp), 9100(jetdirect), 515(printer), ou plus simplement
configurer ton imprimante pour quelle n'utilise qu'un seul protocole.

il y a de nombreuses solutions pour limiter l'accès à l'impression, y
compris par utilisateur.

Tu peux lancer une page de test à partir de l'interface de configuration
sous lynx ou juste par 'lp -dhp2840 nom-de-fichier'

J'utilise toujours les commandes via un terminal, question d'habitude,
pour savoir si tu as un paquet d'installé :

dpkg -l "nom_du_paquet' (fait un man dpkg pour plus d'options)

tu peux regarder aussi du coté d' "apt-cache" avec les commandes
"search" et "show" qui sont très pratiques pour obtenir des informations
avant installation des paquets.

Avec Samba tout dépend si tu veux une gestion automatique ou manuelle
des pilotes et des imprimantes, plusieurs possibilités avec chacune des
avantages et inconvénients suivant le cas de figure.
