Configurer une imprimante laser hp sur lenny

Coucou,

Voil=C3=A0 je voudrais installer une imprimante laser hp et qu'il fasse
office de serveur d'impression.
Dans les docs que j'ai vu, je dois installer cupsys.

Mais en regardant sur le site de hp, il y a un hplip =C3=A0 installer.

Dois-je installer les deux ?

je suppose que si le serveur n'a pas d'interface graphique, je ne peux
pas faire :

les tests fonctionnent.

J'ai tellement fait de manip et de test que je suis incapable de
refaire ce que j'ai fait :). C'est la confusion total.

savoir si tu as un paquet d'installé :

dpkg -l "nom_du_paquet' (fait un man dpkg pour plus d'options)

tu peux regarder aussi du coté d' "apt-cache" avec les commandes "se arch" et
"show" qui sont très pratiques pour obtenir des informations avant
installation des paquets.

Avec Samba tout dépend si tu veux une gestion automatique ou manuell e des
pilotes et des imprimantes, plusieurs possibilités avec chacune des
avantages et inconvénients suivant le cas de figure.



Merci, je vais apprendre cette commande, car c'est bien utile. :)

Pour résumer, j'installe hplip via debian tout simplement, car cups et
foomatic sont des fichiers dépendants.
Et après je configure via lynx. Non ?

Tu as choisis le bon pilote ? un pilote postscript ?

Regarde tes fichiers de log pour voir ce qui se passe.

Les fichiers sont dans /var/log/cups, error_log et access_log.

Oui, l'installation doit se faire via debian, toujours d'ailleurs, et
éviter le mélange de versions ... La version stable doit être la base
d'un serveur de production.

Si ton imprimante fonctionne comme ça 'hplip' n'est pas forcement
nécessaire, mais tu peux l'installer s'il apporte une meilleure gestion
des fonctionnalités.

Tu peux aussi configurer cups pour accepter la gestion a distance via
navigateur, mais lynx rempli très bien cette tache en mode texte,
question de goût...

Pour supprimer les paquets en mode terminal, apt-get remove nom_du_paquet.

les tests fonctionnent.

J'ai tellement fait de manip et de test que je suis incapable de
refaire ce que j'ai fait :). C'est la confusion total.

Prends ton temps et note toutes les commandes que tu lances sur un
cahier, histoire d'avoir l'historique et de revenir en arrière.

Il veut mieux être patient pour faire ce genre de boulot :)

As tu réglé les options d'impressions sur cups ? tu peux faire un cat
/etc/cups/printers.conf ?

Non, hplip ne semble pas détecter ton cups, il dit que cups n'est pas
installé ou qu'il ne fonctionne pas, ce qui n'est pas le cas.

Ta version de hplip ne reconnaît pas la version de cups. Tu utilises la
version instable qui est très très récente...
